Frequently asked questions

What is We-translate service?

We-translate is an international multilingual translation service. The service has a simple and convenient structure that allows people of different nationalities to communicate and understand each other. All the translations are done by the highly qualified staff. The anonymity of the service is achieved through the special system according to which our translators work with the texts of messages only not knowing the sender and the recipient of the message.

What languages are presented in We-translate?

Choose from the source and target languages available in the order form. The pricing page lists published language pairs and rates. If the pair you need is missing, contact us before ordering.

How much does it cost?

The price depends on the language pair and text length. Current per-word rates are on the pricing page. The order form calculates the amount before confirmation; the minimum order charge is 1.00 €.

How much time does the process of message translation take?

The usual estimate for short messages is 2–3 hours, but the actual time depends on text length, complexity and current workload. This is not a guaranteed deadline for every document. For a fixed deadline, contact us before ordering.

How do I order a translation?

Sign in and open the order form. Paste your text or import a document, choose the translation type and languages, check the text and calculated price, then confirm the order.

Which document formats can I import?

The document form supports PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, ODT, ODS, ODP, RTF, TXT and CSV containing text. Check the extracted text before confirming. Convert older DOC, XLS or PPT files to a supported format first.

Can I translate a photograph or scanned PDF?

The current form imports documents with readable text; it does not recognise text in photographs or scans. Use OCR beforehand, check the recognised text against the original, then paste it or upload a supported text document.

What are the file and text limits?

You can add up to 5 files, no more than 10 MB each and 25 MB in total. The text limit is 200,000 characters per order. Split larger materials into separate orders.

Will the original document layout be preserved?

Document import extracts text for translation. The original page layout, styles and positioning of illustrations are not preserved. Review tables, headings and captions in the extracted text; discuss special formatting requirements before ordering.

How should I prepare confidential materials?

The document form reads files in your browser and submits the text you review. Remove unnecessary personal information and do not include access passwords. Read the privacy policy; discuss special confidentiality requirements before sending sensitive material.

Which translation type should I choose?

Choose General for everyday texts, Business for business communication, Literary for creative writing and Legal for legal subject matter. The choice should reflect the content. If you are unsure or need specialist terminology, contact us.

How is an order paid for?

The confirmed order amount is deducted from your account balance. If there are insufficient funds, add funds first, then return to the form and review the price again before confirming.

Which payment methods are available?

Your available options are shown on the add funds page. They can depend on the account and region. Review the payment total and any displayed tax before proceeding; follow the selected provider’s instructions.

Where can I check an order’s status?

Open your dashboard and find the order in Transactions. The status shows its current stage; use Details to view the available order information and translation result.

Can I download a receipt?

The Transactions table in your dashboard includes a receipt download control alongside the operation details. Receipts are provided for supported balance top-ups and translation payments. Check that you select the correct operation.

What if I find an error in the translation?

Contact us with the order number, the source passage and the specific correction or explanation you need. Put related comments in one message. This helps identify the issue; do not create a duplicate paid order merely to report an error.

Can I change the text or languages after confirmation?

Check these details before confirming. If the order has already been placed, contact us promptly with its number and the requested change. Do not assume that the submitted text, language pair or cost will update automatically.

How do I request cancellation or a refund?

Read the Cancellation and Refund policy and contact us with the order or payment number and your reason. Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the published terms and the circumstances of the operation.

Can I provide a glossary or reference translation?

Yes, discuss important terminology, product names and reference materials with support before ordering. Clearly identify the required wording and the source version so that the materials can be associated with the right project.

Can I order a certified or notarised translation?

If an authority requires certification, notarisation or a specific document format, check availability with us before ordering. Selecting the Legal translation type does not itself confirm that those additional services are included.

API and integrations

Can I connect my website, CRM or application?

Yes. The API lets your system create text translation orders, check their progress and retrieve completed translations. See the connection steps and examples in API documentation.

Where can I get an API key?

Sign in to your account and open API access using the API button in the dashboard. Enter a key name, choose read-only access or permission to create orders, and select 30, 90 or 365 days. The full key is displayed only once; save it immediately.

Which translations can I order through the API?

Text translation is available across 19 languages, with general, business, literary and legal services. File uploads and audio are not supported in the current API version.

How are API orders priced and paid for?

Orders use your account rates and balance. Requesting a quote or creating a draft does not debit funds. Check the returned price: funds are deducted when you confirm it and submit the order for work.

How do I track an order and receive the translation?

Request the order status using its ID. The translated text becomes available after the translation is completed and approved. The same order is also visible in your dashboard.

How do I keep a key safe or replace it?

Store the key on your server and send it only over HTTPS. Do not put it in public code or request URLs. If a key is lost or exposed, revoke it in the API section and create a new one. Existing keys also stop working after a password change.
